We, the council of Aged Beef, gather henceforth to draft the founding
articles of Moo. The Medieval Band of herds annually to provide the
following:
1.) The Medieval Band of Moo will gladly provide
carpooling to the renaissance faires for members in the immediate area.
This ride depends of space and may or may not be free.
2.) The
Medieval Band of Moo will designate a spot for the corral. The corral
is a space inside the camping grounds where all members will have a
tent and parking space saved for them and their gear. It will be roped
off and others encouraged not to walk through our camp.
3.) The
Medieval Band of Moo will share its food and drink with other members.
We want none of our friends to go hungry or thirsty while camping. All
members enjoy our Feast of Moo closing weekend of TRF.
4.) The
Medieval Band of Moo will have members stationed inside the camp
grounds to safeguard our tents and belongings. We should not fear
thieves or vandals.
5.) All members of the Medieval Band of Moo
must wear visibly the suggested minimum amount of cowprint. This
cowprint must be worn with either fair garb or civies.
6.)
Whenever a member hears someone yell "Moo!", that member must yell
"Moo!" back. This allows Moo to swiftly distinguish our members in a
crowd.
7.) All members of the Medieval Band of Moo must pay
annual dues. Dues are voted on by the Council and must be paided one
month before the opening weekend of the Texas Renaissance Festival. TRF
is our home fair and dues will provide food, drink, and comforts for
all our members to enjoy.
The aforementioned provisions are Moo
Law. These are the principles apon which Moo is founded. The Medieval
Band of Moo is comprised of four different grades of members. Grand
Master Moo is the "Leader of the Band." The founding members of Moo
form the "Council of Aged Beef," who vote and pass all Moo Law with the
approval of the Leader of the Band. Members who have not proved
themselves commendable receive "minion" status. All others are deemed
"member." To become a minion, one must be approached by a current
member of Moo. This member, called the "sponsor," will supervise the
behavior of the minion. Minions must prove their suvival and camping
skills by putting up members tents. Minions must also wear a cowbell
that will be provided for them. Minions do not have to provide dues and
still enjoy free Feast and trashcan punch. After one year or more of
minioning, if the person is deemed worthy, then he/she will advance to
member status. By standing together, we can provide a safe and fun
renaissance experience.
